Naturally 4 Paws is very excited to partner with a local veterinary team to bring integrative veterinary medical services to the Central Kitsap community. Dr. Rawnie Torres, DVM, CVA, SA-CVMMP, CVFT and Lizzie Green, LVT follows a truly integrative approach and have created Encircling Arms TCIVM. They offer appointments in our Silverdale location on select weekend mornings. Please note that they do not offer traditional (western) veterinary services such as vaccines or prescriptions, but offer services that work along side western medicine to improve your pets health. Dr. Rawnie Torres and Lizzie Green, LVT have been working in the veterinary field for over 15 years. Their experience ranges from working in general practice, specialty, emergency/critical care, and integrative medicine. Having worked in emergency and specialty care, they often saw pets that either didn't respond to or thrive on all the prescription drugs and diets. In some cases, it often made the pet worse and resulted in a poor quality of life. They recognized a need for a more holistic approach to help these pets truly heal and thrive. Together they make up Encircling Arms, an integrative practice that focuses on treating the whole pet and not just the symptoms. They do not provide any western medicine including vaccines, prescription drugs, heartworm or flea control, and prescription diets. They provide integrative and traditional Chinese veterinary medicine services that are designed to complement the care you receive from your primary veterinarian and/or specialist. They are both certified through the Chi University. They focus on correcting imbalances in the body (presenting as a disease process) and maintaining harmony so that the body can heal itself. They can treat any pet from the young healthy athlete with no disease to the older dog or cat that has multiple chronic conditions.

Available Services:

New Patient Exam

$210 – 45 minute appointment

(Includes one of the following modalities to be performed during the visit at no extra charge). During this visit, the Chinese pattern will be identified and a treatment plan will be outlined. A list of supplements or Chinese herbs will also be recommended. A food therapy consult is recommended after the initial consult to provide more long-term support of conditions and result in less often "tune-ups" with other modalities.

Food Therapy Consult

$126

*Not in person and after the initial visit*
This can be pursued at any time and is based off of the Chinese pattern identified during the initial visit. A breakdown of recommendations and follow-up will be sent in a detailed email.

Veterinary Medical Manipulation

$94.50 – 15 min appointment

Restrictions are released to allow for better blood and qi flow, release stagnation of qi, and help your pet feel their best. If appropriate, it is ideally done just prior to an acupuncture session during the same visit.

Acupuncture (dry needle) or Aquapuncture

$115 – 30 min appointment

This modality involves placing needles or injections in certain locations on the body called acupoints. It is based on traditional Chinese medicine that aims at treating imbalances in the body and focusing on the root of the problem. It stimulates qi and improves blood flow to organs so that the body can help heal itself.

Electric Acupuncture

$136.50 – 30 min appointment

The needles are placed in certain acupuncture points and are then connected to electrodes to allow a current to run through the points. This is especially helpful for pets with neurological issues or chronic pain. We often include additional acu/aquapuncture points to compliment the electric acupuncture at no additional cost.
